Biography
Jermall Charlo, born Lafayette, Louisiana in 1990 (twin brother to Jermell), held the IBF super welterweight title in 2015 and the WBC middleweight title from 2019 — though promotional politics and personal issues have kept him inactive for extended stretches. The Charlo twin brothers are the only American sibling pair to simultaneously hold world titles since the Spinks brothers. As of 2026 Charlo's belt remains held over a stalled unification with Janibek Alimkhanuly.
