Biography
Michael Christopher McCallum, born Kingston, Jamaica in 1956, won world titles in three weight classes (super welterweight 1984, middleweight 1989, light heavyweight 1994). Nicknamed 'The Body Snatcher,' he was the most accurate body puncher of the post-Henry Armstrong era; the liver-shot stoppage was his trademark. Famously fought Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson (sparring partner), and Hagler — though promotional politics kept him from facing any of the 'Four Kings' in official bouts. Retired 1997.
