Biography
Devin Haney, born San Francisco in 1998 and trained by his father Bill, became the undisputed four-belt lightweight world champion in May 2023 by outpointing George Kambosos Jr. He immediately moved up to 140 to win the WBC super lightweight title in December 2023 (TKO 9 over Regis Prograis). Lost the title to Ryan Garcia in April 2024 (UD, later changed to no-contest after Garcia's PED suspension). A pure outboxer in the tradition of Larry Holmes, Haney's jab and footwork constitute the most technically sound jab-heavy attack of the current generation.
